Critter Map, a sepcial mapping project that was part of exhibition One & One at Studio 41 in Long Island City Queens in September 2024, consisted of a detailed map of that area of Long Islad City and three small collectable prints of 3 ubiquitous New York city animals, the pigeon, the alley cat and the rat. Prior to the event the series of animal prints were hidden at 3 nearby sites. The longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of these three nearby locations, a map and a pencil were given to participants. Participants were instructed to locate each site, and then draw their route to each site on their map. Particpants were told there was a hidden surprise at each location. This event combined mapping, walking and treasure hunting into a unique urban happening.
